Martin M. Mugi
Martin M. Mugi holds an LL. B degree from the University of Nairobi and a diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya having been admitted to the Bar as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1991.
He is the Managing Partner of Mamicha & Co. since 1992 and oversees business strategy and its implementation at the firm, oversees the day-to-day business operations at the firm, facilitates project development negotiations, navigates legal and regulatory issues, advises clients on subdivision and amalgamation of land, advises clients on the legal and regulatory framework required to kick off the various projects, negotiates and implements joint ventures, represents clients in the sale or purchase of properties, represents banks in financing of projects and renders legal advice for leasing and sub-leasing of properties.
He has amassed a wealth of experience over the years in land law practice, securitization and project finance, corporate governance, banking and finance law, legal advisory to development finance institutions, debt restructuring, management, and recovery.
He has also graced several international and local colloquiums including the Harvard Business School and is currently a member of the “Kenya Commercial Bank Developers Club” and the “Connecting Link Club” of Housing Finance. Martin is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree at the Strathmore Law School.
